AEO Quickstart for companies that compete in search

Get your company cited in AI search.

Your buyers ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews which companies to consider. In 30 days, the Quickstart shows you who those engines name in your market and why, then writes your first AEO content piece so your site starts answering.

How our assessment leads to your plan

Assessment: Missing service details

Your business offers this service, but your website doesn’t answer the question.

A buyer asks AI

“Which commercial real estate brokers in Fort Worth help a small business lease its first office?”

The gap

The services page lists tenant representation but never says the firm works with first-time tenants or small offices. AI has nothing specific to cite.

Northline Commercial Advisors · Updated service pageSample

To improve AI visibility, add this new section to the services page:

Leasing your first office? We represent first-time tenants.

Northline Commercial Advisors helps small businesses in Fort Worth lease their first office, from 1,500 to 10,000 square feet. We find spaces that fit your budget and timeline, negotiate the lease terms, and walk you through every step before you sign.

Why it works for AEO. It gives AI a specific, published reason to name this firm for that buyer’s question.

Before anything goes live, you confirm the details match your service.

Built around the questions your buyers ask AI.

The prompt set is written for your market before the analysis starts. A few of the questions we test, by industry:

  • Commercial real estate

Which brokers in Fort Worth represent tenants leasing their first office?

What we check: Whether your service pages name the buyer's situation, not just the service.

  • Residential real estate

Who are the best agents for a family relocating to Frisco during the school year?

What we check: Whether neighborhood and situation pages exist and say what you do for that move.

  • PropTech and SaaS

What software tracks lease renewals and rent escalations for 40 locations?

What we check: Whether product pages name the job to be done, the portfolio size, and the integrations.

  • HubSpot users in any industry

Which HubSpot partners build custom quoting for manufacturers?

What we check: Whether your site states the specialty AI needs to match you to the question.

Your prompt set is built with your team at kickoff, from the questions your buyers actually ask.

How the 30 days run.

Kickoff to walkthrough, with the strategist who does the work on every call.

Week by week

  1. Week 1: Kickoff and access

Discovery call, site and tool access, target markets and buyer segments confirmed, prompt set defined with your team.

  2. Week 2: Analysis

Technical crawl, schema and entity review, content structure assessment, and competitive prompt testing across engines.

  3. Week 3: Tool setup and your first draft

Your AEO tool set up and baselines recorded. Your content piece chosen together and drafted for your review.

  4. Week 4: Revisions, roadmap, and walkthrough

Your round of revisions, then a live walkthrough with your team and the roadmap handed off in priority order.

Strong fit

You compete for customers in defined markets or categories.

Your site has been live long enough to have real content to evaluate.

You want direction before committing to a retainer.

You are willing to run an AEO tool so results can be measured over time.

Not yet

Your site launched in the last 60 days and has little content to build on.

You want a full site rewrite from day one. The Quickstart starts with one piece, so you can see the approach first.

You want a guaranteed position in AI answers. No one can offer that, and Geekly does not.

AEO Quickstart FAQs

What is Answer Engine Optimization?

Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) is the practice of structuring a website's content, the labels in its page code, and entity data so AI answer engines like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews can extract, verify, and cite it inside a generated answer. It builds on SEO: the same clean structure and accurate page code labels that help a page rank also help an engine trust it.

How is AEO different from SEO?

SEO works to place your page in a ranked list a person scrolls through. AEO works to get your information used inside the answer that person reads first. The technical foundations overlap heavily, so AEO work generally lifts traditional search performance as well.

Which industries is the AEO Quickstart for?

Any company that gets found through search: residential and commercial real estate, PropTech and SaaS, home services, and HubSpot users in every industry. The method is the same; the prompt set, the competitive analysis, and your content piece are built around your buyers and your market. Property management companies have their own version of the Quickstart, linked above.

What is the first AEO content piece?

Copy for an initial set of FAQs, one comparison page, or an updated service page. The competitive prompt analysis shows which buyer questions matter in your market, and we choose the piece together once the analysis is in. It includes one round of revisions, so the voice and details fit your business before it goes live.

Do I need an AEO tool?

Yes. Answer engines do not publish impression and click data the way search consoles do, so knowing whether your company gets cited takes a dedicated tool. If you already have one, we configure it and record your baselines. If you do not, we set you up on HubSpot's SEO tool at $50 a month, billed by HubSpot and separate from the Quickstart price.

What does the AEO Quickstart cost?

$2,650. The regular price is $2,850, so the current rate saves $200. That covers your first AEO content piece, the competitive prompt analysis, tool setup, the content roadmap, and the live walkthrough. An AEO tool subscription, if you need one, is billed separately by HubSpot.

Will this help my rankings in regular Google search?

Usually. Much of what makes a page citable by an answer engine, including clean structure, accurate schema, consistent entity data, and clear direct answers, is the same work that improves organic performance.

What happens after the Quickstart ends?

You keep everything: your content piece, the competitive report, the configured tool, and the roadmap. From there you can execute with your team or a contractor, or add a scoped engagement with Geekly. There is no obligation to continue.
