[Internal] How to Update Database Contacts

  • Log into HubSpot
  • On the menu bar, select "contacts" then "contacts" again. 
  • Click on "Advanced Filters", add a filter:
    • Contact Owner is any of ME
  • Adjust the columns to show the following fields:
    • Name
    • Contact Type
    • Email
    • Industry
    • Review for Deletion
    • Do not Market
      • CAUTION: This field should be used SPARINGLY. It should be used if there was a negative client experience or company experience or if the contact is no longer at the company any longer as these email addresses will hard bounce. If you have any questions, please contact your manager.


  • If you are in the contacts screen and you have these columns selected you should be able to easily update the contact's information inline. 
  • You might have to open the contact record in a new window in order to see emails or other information to determine WHO the contact is. 


Please make sure to choose the BEST option. If you are unsure, please contact your manager.
